Common questions
Will interviewers or proctors see the overlay?
In the vast majority of video calls and screen shares (Zoom, Teams, Meet, and the like), no. The overlay stays on your screen and nowhere else, so what they see is your normal desktop. Some proctoring and lockdown tools are not supported, and on those the overlay can be visible. GhostAssist is not designed to defeat exam or proctoring software that prohibits external assistance, so please do not rely on it where it is forbidden.
Do I have to configure anything to stay private?
No. The overlay is private by default the moment you launch GhostAssist. There is nothing to toggle, no checklist to run before a call, and no separate stealth tier to upgrade to. It just works.
Is the $16.99 really a one-time payment?
Yes. One payment, no subscription, no renewal. You pay once and use GhostAssist indefinitely. Future updates for the purchased version are included.
Is my data private?
Yes. Session data (transcripts, questions, and answers) is stored on your local file system only. There is no GhostAssist server storing your meeting content. The only outbound traffic is queries sent to AI model APIs and the answers returned.
